Paralegal

Yaneisi is a legal professional with an exceptional academic background and uncommon professional depth. She brings to her work a rare combination of formal legal training, over fifteen years of hands-on legal experience, and a genuine commitment to excellence that runs through everything she does.
A graduate of the University of Havana School of Law, one of Latin America’s most rigorous and respected institutions of legal education. Yaneisi earned her law degree in July 2005 with the distinction of Gold Degree Graduate, one of the highest academic honors the University confers, awarded exclusively to students of extraordinary academic achievement and scholarly dedication. Her legal education was far from theoretical. Over the course of more than fifteen years of active legal practice in Cuba, she developed a substantive and sophisticated command of legal procedure, client representation, and case management that few professionals at any stage of their career can claim.
Upon her transition to the United States, Yaneisi’s Cuban law degree was formally homologated to a U.S. Bachelor’s Degree: a recognition of the rigor and equivalency of her prior legal education. True to her commitment to continuous professional growth, she is currently completing the ABA-accredited Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies at Miami Dade College, with anticipated completion in November 2026. That credential reflects not only her adaptability but her determination to meet the highest standards of the American legal profession on its own terms.
In her current role as a Paralegal at Luis E. Barreto & Associates, P.A., a busy and well-regarded Miami probate and estate planning firm, Yaneisi has established herself as an indispensable member of the legal team. She manages a sophisticated caseload spanning probate administration, estate planning, and guardianship matters with a level of precision, discretion, and professional maturity that comes only from years of genuine legal experience. Beyond her substantive legal work, she plays a central role in the operational backbone of the firm: overseeing billing, collections, client communications, and the full range of administrative functions that keep a demanding legal practice running with efficiency and purpose.
Yaneisi is also a commissioned Florida Notary Public and a Florida-authorized Online Notary, qualified to perform remote online notarizations in accordance with Florida Statute §117.265. This credential adds a practical and immediately valuable dimension to her work, allowing her to serve clients and the firm with the full scope of notarial authority, whether in person or remotely, with the same care and professionalism she brings to every aspect of her practice.
Yaneisi’s profile is singular in the legal support field. She is not simply a paralegal with academic training, she is a trained and experienced attorney who brings the perspective, judgment, and professional instincts of a seasoned legal practitioner to every matter she handles. Her clients and colleagues benefit not only from her technical skill, but from her genuine passion for the law, her cultural fluency, her bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, and her deeply held belief that the highest quality of legal service is not something to aspire to, it is simply the standard.
